PROCESADORA DE ALIMENTOS C. LTDA (PRODAL) was established with a shared capital of S/. 1,000,000 (ONE MILLION, 00/100 SUCRES) with its main objective being the “transformation of raw materials for all types of food for human and animal consumption”. With its founding partners being Hernán Cordovez Dávalos and Fernando Ortega Cabeza de Vaca, who provided machinery and equipment for the processing and dehydration of Beer Bran.
Initially having the COMPAÑÍA DE CERVEZAS NACIONALES (National Brewing Company) as raw material suppliers. Its first facilities were located in the traditional Las Peñas neighborhood of Guayaquil, on the banks of the Guayas River, so PRODAL strategically began operations on the opposite bank, in the city of Durán, using at that time the well-known “barges” for transporting their products.
